I work one on one with the professor during the school year, we primarily work on research focusing on human learning and teaching.

Students enrolled in introductory computer science courses tend towards individual work because of pedagogical practices discouraging collaboration and a focus on individual assignments. This can discourage new computer science students and may negatively affect persistence in computer science.

We are working to build tools that will foster growth and collaboration between computer science students.

Automation Research Intern

My first computer science related internship. I worked at a college counseling firm, working on automating some excel tasks, to make things easier for the business owners. Over the summer, I developed an app that was able to save my client 379$ per year.

I work during the summer and during school breaks. I work on various tasks around the barn. This is a part time job. I would often work with volunteers, some of whom I became close friends with. Oftentimes when there was a new volunteer they would pair them with me.

During the summer of 2024, and a little bit during school I studied for the COMPTIA Security+ exam This was an interest of my own, and I enjoyed learning about this topic a lot. This certification took a lot of work and hard studying, and I am proud of have completed it

Currently, in progress

A side project for me during the school year. I am currently studying for this exam, with plans to take in summer of 2025 or winter of 2025. I find this topic interesting, as network skills are often foundation knowledge for cyber security.
