Research Assistant
Gonzaga University, Daniel Olivares September 2024 - CurrentI work one on one with the professor during the school year, we primarily work on research focusing on human learning and teaching.
Students enrolled in introductory computer science courses tend towards individual work because of pedagogical practices discouraging collaboration and a focus on individual assignments. This can discourage new computer science students and may negatively affect persistence in computer science.
We are working to build tools that will foster growth and collaboration between computer science students.
